Each sector carries its own load parameters, access constraints, and compliance requirements. Apex riggers hold the relevant High Risk Work Licences, and every lift is backed by a site-specific lift plan and SWMS - whether it's a multi-crane structural steel pick on a Central Coast apartment project, machinery relocation inside a Newcastle industrial facility, or a below-hook suspended load operation on a Sydney infrastructure corridor.

FAQ
Answers to the questions NSW project managers, site supervisors, and procurement teams ask most about certified rigging services.
What certifications do Apex riggers hold?
All Apex riggers hold the relevant High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) issued under the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act - including Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Dogging licences as required by the scope of each lift. Our supervisors carry additional competencies in lift planning and load calculations. We can provide copies of all relevant licences and certificates upon request before mobilisation.
How is rigging scope and pricing determined?
Rigging pricing depends on several factors: load weight and geometry, lift complexity (single-crane vs. tandem/multi-crane), required below-hook equipment, access conditions at the site, and project duration. We assess every enquiry individually and provide a detailed written quote. For large or complex lifts, a site inspection is recommended prior to quoting. Contact us via the Get a Quote page or call our team directly.
Does Apex comply with WorkSafe NSW and WHS regulations?
Yes. Every Apex rigging engagement is managed under a documented Lift Plan and Site-Specific Safety Management Plan compliant with AS 2550 (Cranes, hoists and winches - Safe use) and the NSW WHS Regulations for High Risk Work. We provide SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), Load Tables, and rigging studies as standard on all engagements.
What documentation does Apex provide for rigging jobs?
Standard documentation includes: Lift Plan (including rigging study and load calculations), SWMS, rigger licences and competency certificates, pre-start inspection checklists, and post-lift records. For complex multi-crane or structural lifts, an engineered lift study signed by a chartered engineer is also available. All documentation is retained for audit purposes.
Do you provide rigging services outside Central Coast, Newcastle, and Sydney?
Yes - while Central Coast NSW, Newcastle, and Sydney are our primary service regions, Apex Cranes and Rigging takes on projects across the broader NSW market including Hunter Valley, Illawarra, Blue Mountains, and regional NSW. Reach out with your project location and we will advise on mobilisation and availability.
